Saturday, June 14
Join Truckee Dirt Union, the Landmark Project, and the National Forest Foundation for a day dedicated to trail stewardship on one of Truckee’s most beloved trails—Jackass Trail—followed by an evening celebration.
👉 Meet-Up Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Behind the bathrooms on the 01 Fireroad, just off Highway 89

👉 Parking: Please park in the turnout on Highway 89 or drive up the 01 Fireroad to park near the bathrooms. Do not block trailheads or crossings.
👉 What to Bring:
Water
Trail snack
Hat and eyewear
Clothing appropriate for Sierra forest conditions
Gloves
Bike helmet (if riding in)
A readiness to work and participate
Trail Access: Plan to hike or mountain bike in. Expect approximately 1–3 miles of hiking and up to four hours of shaded sun exposure.
👉 Trail Work Schedule:
9:00 AM – Check-in and waiver signing
9:20 AM – Safety briefing and project overview
9:30 AM – Hike to worksite and begin trail work
12:30 PM – Return to TDU’s fajita feed zone for lunch
2:00 PM – Wrap up and head to evening gathering
👉 Evening: Celebration at Alibi Ale Works – Truckee Public House
After trail work, join us to celebrate our efforts together.
Location: Alibi Ale Works – Truckee Public House
Time: 4 PM, following the workday
Come out and support the trails, connect with fellow community members, and enjoy good food and drink after a rewarding day on the mountain.
